With Iran off the table, Americans ready for impeachment

December 11, 2007 | Filed Under News | Leave a Comment

Americans warm up to the idea of Impeachment

One of the reasons impeachment hasn’t had more support is the problems plaguing the United States, internationally. If the Iraq War were a non-issue, I’ve no doubt that the impeachment process would be well underway. American sentiment and anti-War rage has been hindered by the Iran problem which the U.S. has admittedly provoked over the last couple of years.

The percentage of Americans favoring impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney is approaching the percentage who favored impeachment of President Nixon in 1973-74.Public opinion has reached this high level even before Congress has started any impeachment investigation of the Bush-Cheney administration. The public is way ahead of Congress, suggesting that it is time for the U.S. House of Representatives to move forward with the impeachment process.

The conclusions of the latest National Intelligence Estimate regarding Iran’s lack of a nuclear weapons program will have a profound impact on the 2008 presidential campaign. The report may well prove a key element in throwing the election to the Democrats.

Kucinich working on President Bush impeachment articles

December 11, 2007 | Filed Under Activism | Leave a Comment

Presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich, Saturday, Reno, Nevada.

Speaking to a packed crowd in Reno, Dennis Kucinich was prepared to discuss environmental issues, war and President Bush during a weekend conference. Apparently, the half-hour campaign speech quickly turned to the topic of impeachment.

“On the way over here, I was reading a 50-page document that relates to Articles of Impeachment for the President of the United States,” Kucinich said to a standing ovation. “And I want you to know that I’m actually preparing this document for submission to the House.”

Kucinich said Bush has curtailed the people’s constitutionally guaranteed rights.

“This is a moment when we’re called upon to reclaim our country,” he said. “You give me your vote, I’ll give you back your country.”

This is the kind of tough talk we need right now. Whether or not Dennis Kucinich can invigorate his campaign by going after Bush will remain to be seen. Yet, politically speaking, Kucinich has done his campaign and public image a lot of good by doing what most Democrats have been to afraid to do: go after Bush. I’ll keep you posted on the issue, but he says a fifty page articles of impeachment on President Bush is under way. He’s already filed one to lock down the Dick Cheney Kucinich and I guess he wasn’t done there.

Good work sir, finally, we have someone that is willing to stand up for the American people who absolutely despise this administration and them harm it has done our country.

Kucinich also discussed how his concern for the environment would shape his presidency if he were to be elected.

“Think about this. The government has an engine of sustainability so that the Department of Transportation focuses on developing mass transit solutions. The Department of Housing and Urban Development develops green housing with natural light and passive solar. The Department of Energy incentivizes the production of wind and solar and green energy,” he told the crowd.

Ron Paul wants government out of our lives

December 9, 2007 | Filed Under Elections | Leave a Comment

Who doesn’t want government out of their lives? We’ve been so conditioned to believe that it’s OK for the government to intervene in our daily lives that Americans have a hard time comprehending Liberty. Isn’t that crazy? The land of the free has such a hard time with concepts of libertarian thought because we’ve become so reliant on government dictating what is acceptable that we have no point of reference for how to deal with true freedom.

John Stossel interview with Ron Paul

Among others, Ron Paul wants federal government to stay out of the following issues:
1) drug war
2) marriage
3) prostitution

“When you defend freedom, you defend freedom of choice and you can’t choose how people use that freedom. I don’t think government can legislate virtue,…”

When you try and reason it out, everything makes sense. He is a highly intelligent man and is having a profound impact on the minds of the young. Not only that, the nerds are out in full force, finally a candidate that they can relate to. What’s not to like?

Ron Paul Revolution is a Work of Art

December 8, 2007 | Filed Under Elections | Leave a Comment

I can’t help but chuckle when I see our youth in action and read about the hot grassroots political movement that has taken America by storm. Political activism is on the rise and America’s desire for revolutionary change is strong. What’s amazing about the Ron Paul Revolution is that it’s not a liberal movement, it’s more of a ‘true’ American movement. It’s libertarian at heart, but Ron Paul moves people all over the political spectrum!

The Ron Paul Revolution, there’s just nothing quite like it.
