The Fear And Reality Of Election Fraud

On Rigging the Elections in America
Perusing through the social networks this morning, I noticed that there are a lot of people concerned with fraud during the primaries and general election. Over the years, we’ve been peppered with various reports of “stolen” elections that occurred in 2000 and 2004.
Whether it’s paranoia or legitimate fear realized by experience and recognition of corruption, it looks like every election, including the primaries will be under scrutiny and rightly so. Below is a video on Election Fraud, quite entertaining and enlightening about the corruption going on in the United States.
Greg Palast and Robert F Kennedy (Karl Rove should be in jail)
He’s enlisted the help of Harvard scholars and major research groups to come up with the results, so it isn’t your typical “tinfoil” propagandists in case you’re a skeptic.

Rudy Giuliani, a True Freedom Fighter
January 8, 2008 | Filed Under Elections | Leave a Comment
Resisting And Redefining Freedom
Rudy Giuliani can’t keep his mouth shut on the idea of “Freedom”. It’s not because he is a freedom fighter, but because of all the candidates, America stands the most to lose with Rudy Giuliani in charge.
What is freedom, is it relative? Should it be?
The New York Times published an article about Rudy Giuliani’s idea of freedom. He discusses the need for authority and the doom and gloom that comes with anarchy (as if that’s what liberty fighting Americans are seeking). No one wants lawlessness, all we’re asking for his government to mind its own business. Stay out of our lives, the concept isn’t based on rocket science, Rudy.
“What we don’t see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be,” he said at the forum, sponsored by The New York Post. “Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.”
“Freedom is about authority, … to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what they do.”
I’ve heard a lot of garbage out of political candidates over the years, but I’ve never heard of anyone so eager to deny Americans their rights in order to grant them the “illusion of freedom” he believes they need.
Mr. Giuliani said governmental authorities in American society had fallen into disrepute in the last 30 years. He said anarchy would result if everyone were allowed to behave exactly as he wanted and cited Oliver Wendell Holmes’s adage that freedom of expression does not include shouting ‘Fire!’ in a crowded theater.
I don’t think Americans have trouble understanding the concept of freedom and/or liberty. Quite the contrary, we know it well. What Americans fear is this new age of tyranny and governmental intrusion. Spying on American citizens is unacceptable, search and seizure without warrants is unacceptable, using terrorists to frighten citizens into submission is unacceptable. These ideals of freedom are obviously being infringed upon and it only stands to get worse if we go in the direction of a man like Rudy Giuliani.
It’s my opinion that the Republican party is overrun with authoritarians and this neo-conservative influence and wing of the party needs to die a quick death. It’s no wonder that Rudy Giuliani decided to avoid Iowa and particularly New Hampshire, the “Live Free or Die” State.

Political Ads Use Fear To Manipulate Voters

The politics of fear is a fascinating subject but it’s sad that we even need to have this discussion in the United States. It’s no secret that War itself helps promote candidates in a way that nothing else can. What the GOP found early in President Bush’s years is that terrorism and fear are just as effective as the “War effect” and are campaigns that can be run indefinitely. In 2006, Americans said NO, they refused to fall for the propaganda and put Democrats in office.
Republican strategists are back with a vengeance and it is obvious that they didn’t learn a lesson from 2006. They’ve come up with all sorts of excuses and reasons for their demise in 2006 and it apparently had nothing to do with the war. If you’ve listened to Mitt Romney lately, he pretty much says that the American people want “change” but not change in policy, they want government to become effective. His argument is that if Americans had a leader that would allow the U.S. to go back to Bush’s rubber-stamping days, we’d essentially have “change” that the American people could go for.
John McCain’s campaign is banking on it.
Are you afraid yet?
Rudy Giuliani is basing his entire campaign around your fear.
Still not afraid? Then bravo! Keep vigilant in this fight against terrorism because the terrorism is no longer a foreign threat. Until the 2008 election is over, expect a barrage of terrorist tactics to come out of our political campaigns. The majority of these fear campaigns will come from Rudy Giuliani as he’s made it a theme of his campaign. It looks like John McCain is getting in on the action and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Mitt Romney try this tactic as well.
Even during the debates, the fear-driven politics governs discussions if you let it:
Rudy Giuliani’s words, Mike Huckabee’s spin and one crazy response
“You have to face reality, if you can’t face reality, you can’t lead.” — Rudy Giuliani
If you watched the above video, you listened to Mike Huckabee spin the Iraq War into a social responsibility question. He says that we made a mistake, but now it’s about “Honor” for our soldiers and upholding honor for the party and U.S.
“We’re losing elections and we’re going down next year if we don’t change it and it has all to do with foreign policy and it has to do with this fact.” — Ron Paul
Finally, a soldier’s response to the “Honor” spin on our soldiers
This may be just one opinion, but it is shared globally and more than half the country is anti-War at this point. It’s disingenuous to suggest that Americans are interested in “succeeding” in this war on terror when most experts know that this isn’t a “War” in the traditional sense. In fact, I’d say that most Americans are ready to pull the plug on Iraq out of disgust with the politics of fear and the exploitation of God and country that has taken place in the political discourse.

Giuliani Fear Ad Nets Him 4% in Iowa

I guess “Change” really is the theme of the 2008 Election. Rudy Giuliani tried to stick with the same old Bush tactics of scaring people into supporting him and all he got to show for it was a 5th place finish in Iowa.
If you’re not with us, you’re against us… or something
I am very glad that Americans are coming around and shutting the fear-driven idiots out of the American political discourse.
